3D Printed House Completed In 24 Hours

The 400 sq ft 3D printed house in Russia was built in just a day and cost a little over $10,000. Here's a line item list of the cost to construct this 3D printed home just in case you didn't want to take our word for it.

The walls, partitions, and most other essential components of the 3D printed house were created using only a concrete mixture. Fixtures and other cosmetic pieces were added after the printing and building portion of the project was completed. Claims from the manufacturing company, Apis Cor, insist that the home will last about 125 years, which is rather impressive for the first wave of 3D printed homes. To put this in perspective, the average brick construction last about 100 or so years. These constructions are using produced and constructed offsite. Nikita Chen-Yun-Tai, the founder of Apis Cor, commented on the Apis Cor website, “We want to change public views that construction can’t be fast, eco-friendly, efficient and reliable at the same time Apis Cor seems to be the first company to build a 3D printer that will print the home on-site.
